Hiking trail leads tourists into seven rooms ( each of the approximately 1,000 has ) some color and a section of the basement hallways . Even if you can not visit only a section of the Palace of Parliament, is enough to be impressed !
Valued today at about 3-5 billion dollars , the building is made exclusively from Romanian materials - from marble and wood, crystals and carpets , labor ... It was Ceausescu 's concept was strictly observed.
With a total area of 365,000 square meters deployed ( and maintenance costs comparable with a city of 20,000 inhabitants ) Parliament Palace is entered in the Guinness World Records , to the administrative building , the second position after the Pentagon . In terms of volume, with those of its 2.555 million cubic meters , it is in position 3 in the world after space shuttle assembly building at Cape Canaveral after Quetzalcoalt 's pyramid in Mexico . For comparison , precizes that is by 2% in volume more than the pyramid of Cheops in Egypt.

As another curiosity , the largest chandelier, crystal , weighs 4 tons !!!
